JAMMU, Feb 13: Central Working Committee (CWC) of All J&K Plus Two PSC Lecturer Association has appealed Governor Satya Pal Malik to personally intervene and implement Assured Career Progression.
In a meeting of the Association, presided over by its convenor Manjeet Chib and attended by all district representatives of Jammu province, demand for implementation of Assured Career Progression (ACP) in favour of Plus Two Lecturers was raised. Members of CWC were entrusted to submit the document of signature campaign in this regard before Service Grievance Committee.
The Plus Two Lecturers appealed Governor to intervene and swiftly implement Assured Career Progression in favour of them. They welcome the recent statement of Governor regarding quality education and said that direct recruited lecturers are committed to deliver their best in the class but it is imperative to boost them by providing financial incentives. They said that they have submitted number of representations and are knocking the doors since long but Government is not showing any concern with the demand of lecturer community which is very unfortunate.
Plus Two Lecturers said that they can’t go for strike at the cost of future of the students so the Department should address this long pending issue. “Assured Career Progression is our legitimate right so lecturers should be covered under the ambit of this scheme like officers of other department,” they added.
The CWC members also appealed Commissioner Secretary to project the genuine and long pending demand of ACP before State Administrative Council (SAC). CWC convenor Manjeet Chib said that they have lot of expectations from Governor and urged him to sanction the benefits of Assured Career Progression Scheme in favour of plus two lecturers.
