JAMMU, Feb 13: Balvinder Singh, an RTI Activist today criticized the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) by terming it a toothless tiger, whose orders are being defied by officers with impunity.
Addressing a press conference here today, Balvinder said he filed a complaint in the SVO, against the then Medical Superintendent of Government Hospital Sarwal for changing the terms and conditions laid down in the tender documents (NIT) at the time of issuing allotment for Fair Price Medical Shop, which later resulted in the loss to the State exchequer.
He said the SVO forwarded the said complaint to the Commissioner Secretary H&ME asking him to conduct an enquiry and send the enquiry report back to Vigilance.
Activist said that he filed RTI in Directorate of Health Services Jammu on Feb 2018 and got the enquiry report from the PIO in the office of DHS on 23.03.2018 but the SVO/ACB is still struggling hard to get the copy of the that report.
