JAMMU, Jan 29: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) organized a State level workshop on “Financing Joint Liability Groups”, which was attended by Branch Managers, NGOs and members of best Farmers’ Club.
The workshop was inaugurated by RV Sharma, General Manager, NABARD, who while speaking stressed the need of financing those farmers, who do not have collateral security on being as tenant farmers, oral lessees and landless farmers.
He also emphasized through JLG programme that the recoveries in JLG’s are very poor because of poor pressure on the members of JLGs.
Sukhvinder Singh, Deputy General Manager presented a detailed presentation on JLGs and explained each and every aspect and also prepared a programme for the year 2012-13 and 2013-14.
