“Two years back, we were promised regularization of our services but Government failed to do so,” president, All Jammu and Kashmir Contractual Lecturers Association, Gurjeet Singh said, adding despite approaching the higher authorities, the issue has not been resolved yet.
He further said that State Administrative Council (SAC) passed an order regarding the continuation of their services during the period of winter vacation. However, he said, some school Principals have discontinued their services which is a clear violation of the orders. “We want authorities to stop exploiting us,” he said.
The protesting lecturers urged the Governor to intervene into the matter and solve their issues. “We want Governor to resolve our issues on the pattern of RRT and SSA teachers,” he said.
