POONCH, Nov 16: On the directions of the District Magistrate, Poonch, Rahul Yadav, the police along with Medical team from Sub District Hospital, Mendhar exhumed the dead body of an unknown person from the grave yard and took the DNA samples in presence of Magistrate today.
Official sources said that on the request of the Additional SP Railway, Jammu, with regard to inquest proceedings initiated into the death of a unknown male person vide DDR No.06 dated 9-3-2018, the District Magistrate ordered to remove the dead body of the deceased from his grave at village Ari Kasab in Tehsil Mendhar. He had been buried there after mistaken identity in March this year.
BMO Mendhar, Dr Parvez Ahmed Khan constituted Medical Board comprising four doctors- Dr Mohd Ashfaq, Dr Abrar Ahmed, Dr Mohd Azam and Dr Javed Iqbal who took the DNA samples and sent to the FSL Jammu for investigation. After completion of the process, the body was re-buried in presence of Executive Magistrate.
It is pertinent to mention here that one Mohd Muzamal (25), son of Nizam Din, resident of Kasab Ari village was working in Delhi. The youth remained out of touch with his family for several months and his mobile phone was also closed. In between, one unidentified male dead body was recovered by Railway police at Jammu during March 2018. The parents of Muzamal claimed that deceased belonged to them and mistakenly brought the body to their home and performed last rites at their village. They were surprised after Muzamal came back home after about two months. Now, it has become a case of headache for the Railway Police Jammu to find out whose dead body was lying there in the graveyard in Mendhar area.
