RAJOURI, Oct 24: The police today seized 10 vehicles and booked a minibus driver during a surprise naka in Gujjar Mandi and Panja Chowk areas of Rajouri town and in Kandi area.
A police spokesman said that a naka was laid by a team of police headed by SHO Rajouri, Ajaz Haider under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Govind Rattan during which 25 vehicle drivers were fined for violation of MV Act. Ten vehicles were also seized by team for various violations.
Meanwhile, during another naka for traffic checking near Petrol Pump Kandi, a team headed by SHO Kandi Manzoor Kohli intercepted a Minibus No. JK 02BK 3552 being driven by Mohd Shamsheer Khan, son of Mithi Khan, a resident of Kandi and found it over loaded.
On this a case FIR No.149/2018 U/Section 336 RPC 66/192 MV act has been registered at Kandi Police Station.
10 other vehicles were also challaned under different sections of MV Act during naka while one Tata Mobile was seized u/s 207 MV Act.
