RAJOURI, Oct 23: The police today booked five more drivers for overloading of passengers in vehicles thereby endangering their lives.
A team of Police Station Darhal headed by SHO Habib Pathan under the supervision of SDPO Thanamandi Iftikar Chowdhary during patrolling found two vehicles, a Tata Magic No. JK11- 6391 and Temppo Traveler No. JK11 -9397 over loaded with passengers.
On this, drivers of both the vehicles have been booked and two cases under FIR Numbers 85/2018 and 86/2018 have been registered against them.
Similarly, another Police team headed by SHO Thanamandi, Nazir Dar under the supervision of SDPO Thanamandi during patrolling on Thanamandi- Rajouri road found three vehicles overloaded and intercepted them. Their drivers were also booked for overloading of passengers thereby endangering lives of people.
These drivers include Danish Kabir, son of Mohd Kabir, resident of Shahdra Sharif; Waseem Ahmed, son of Khursheed Ahmed, resident of Shahdra Sharif and Mohd Danish, resident of Shahdra Sharif, were driving vehicles JK11C- 6194 (Eco), JK11A- 6978 (Van) and JK11C- 3758 (Eco).
Meanwhile, a police team from Kandi headed by SHO Manzoor Kohli under the supervision of DySP Ops Sukhdev Singh during traffic checking on Kandi- Budhal Road found Tata Magic No. JK11 -8826 driven by Mohd Arif, son of Mohd Sadiq of Sakri, overloaded with passengers. A case was registered against driver vide FIR No.148/2018 U/S 336 RPC 66/192 MV Act at Police Station, Kandi.
