JAMMU, Oct 15: Sidhra police under ‘Operation Kamdhenu’ rescued 14 bovine animals and arrested two persons.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Sidhra Police Post laid a naka and intercepted two vehicles.
During checking, police rescued 14 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested two persons, who have been identified as Muzaffar Shah, son of Ghulam Nabi Shah of Chamalwass, Tehsil Banihal District Ramban and Muzaffar Ahmed Kasana, son of Mohammad Hussain Kasana of Tungloo Dooru, District Anantnag.
Cases under FIR Numbers 247/18 and 248/18 under relevant sections have been registered at Nagrota Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Sidhra Police Post SI Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday rescued the bovine animals and arrested the accused under the supervision of SHO Nagrota Inspector Deepak Pathania, SDPO Nagrota Mohan Sharma, SP Rural Dushyant Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
