JAMMU, Aug 10: An unidentified male body was recovered today from a canal in Digiana Camp in city outskirts.
According to a police official, the decomposed body of an unknown man of age about 40 years was spotted this evening by some locals in a canal in Digiana Camp, which falls under the jurisdiction of police station Gangyal.
On getting information from locals, a police team from police station Gangyal reached the spot, fished out the body from canal and shifted it to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification/postmortem.
“In this connection, inquest proceedings has been initiated at police station Gangyal”, the official added.
