JAMMU, Aug 7: The dead body of an unknown old man was found from General Bus Stand, here today.
“Some people spotted the dead body of a 60-year-old man lying on platform of Bus Stand this afternoon and informed the police”, a police official said.
He said on their information, a police team reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for postmortem.
“Later the deceased man was identified as Parma Nand son of Teju Ram, resident of Purkhoo”, he said, adding, the deceased was a habitual drunkard and doctors had advised him to shun the alcohol completely as he was suffering from some serious disease.
“Bus Stand police has taken cognizance of the matter’, the official further added.
