JAMMU, July 17 :- District Police Samba arrested an interstate ATM fraudster cum thief from Jakh, Vijaypur today. He used to fraudulently dupe innocent people and run away with their hard earned money.
According to a handout issued by district police Samba, the police persons deployed in civvies in and around the ATM machines succeeded in arresting the accused person namely Rajesh Kumar, S/o Zeelah Singh, R/o Kanoh district Hissar, Haryana from Jakh, Vijaypur when he tried to fraudulently dupe one person namely Tara Mani S/o Dharam Chand, R/o Jakh, Vijaypur who went there to withdraw the money from ATM.
During questioning the accused disclosed that he offered help to innocent customers in withdrawing their money and then secretly noticed their ATM Password and thereafter withdrew the money from the accounts of the customers. In this regard a case FIR No. 94/2018 U/S 382/RPC was registered at PS Vijaypur and further investigation is going on.
The Police team dealing the matter is making efforts in tracing out other members of the ATM thieves’ gang.
