KATRA, July 16: New track to Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine was temporarily closed for more than 12 hours following landslide near Himkoti in the wee hours today.
However, no one was injured in the incident and the track was restored for the pilgrims as well as battery car around 8 pm this evening, Senior Superintendent of Police, Reasi, Tahir Sajad Bhat said.

The landslide triggered by rains hit the track in the wee hours causing some damage to the infrastructure following which the route was temporarily closed for pilgrims as a precautionary measure.
However pilgrimage to the cave shrine atop the Trikuta hills continued smoothly from the traditional route and 25 thousand devotees performed Darshan today.
