KATRA, July 13: Police today foiled an attempt of smuggling liquor in the holy town and seized 30 pouches of liquor besides arresting two bootleggers, here today.
During patrolling at Counter number 2, Katra Police intercepted a van bearing registration number JK20-3531 and recovered 30 poly pouches of country made liquor.
Police seized the liquor and arrested driver as well as his accomplice. They were identified as Kuldeep Kumar son of Ram Ditta of village Martha, Ramnagar and Koshal Gupta son of Bishan Dass of village Basi, Ramnagar.
In this connection, a case FIR number 145/2018 U/S 188 RPC has been registered in Police Station Katra.
