KISHTWAR, July 13: Asraria Cricket Club defeated Green Star Cricket Club by 6 wickets in the ongoing District Level JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at Choghan Cricket ground, here today.
The Championships are being organised under the overall supervision of retired Judge, Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal and Sham Saroop Kalsotra at various venues in Jammu province.
Earlier, batting first, Green Star CC bundled out for paltry 87 runs in 19.4 overs. Ashiq and Numan contributed 26 and 25 runs to the total respectively, while Jaleel chipped in with 16 runs. Millian was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 4 important wickets, while Hanan and Burhan claimed 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
Asraria Cricket Club, in reply, reached the target in 15.3 overs by losing 4 wickets to win the match by 6 wickets. Burhan top scored with 28 runs, while Irtiza and Mubasher contributed unbeaten 20 and 15 runs to the total respectively. Wasim, Tourif, Salman and Ashiq claimed 1 wicket each. Burhan of Asraria Cricket Club was adjudged as the man of the match for his all-round show.
