JAMMU, July 13: BJP Jammu and Kashmir specified a total of Rs 1.30 crore for the specific development of Kargil region out of the funds available to party MLCs and MPs.
This was disclosed in a press conference held at party headquarter by Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas. MLCs Ashok Khajuria and Ramesh Arora also addressed the press conference. MLCs Surinder Ambardar, Girdhari Lal Raina and former Minister Priya Sethi were present on the occasion.
Shamsher Singh Manhas said that 9 MLCs from BJP and 1 former Minister Priya Sethi will contribute Rs 10 lakhs each for the development of region whereas he himself as an MP and MP from Leh Thupstan Chewang will contribute Rs 15 lakhs each for the development of the region. He said that a total of Rs 1.30 crore will be dedicatedly spent for the process of progress in Kargil region.
Manhas claimed that this will certainly help the party to work efficiently in the region and strengthen its organizational base. He also said that the other political parties alleged that BJP was only limited to Jammu region, but BJP have roots in every part of Jammu and Kashmir and progress of every region with no discrimination is party’s priority.
Ashok Khajuria said that BJP National President Amit Shah in his address at Jammu cleared that now the anti-national forces will come out of their holes and that is evident now. “We do not care for power seat and denounce any such statement given by any party for their petty political gains. We framed an alliance to respect the mandate given by the public so that we can work more efficiently for the development process. Anybody who will speak with hatred against India will not be spared”, he added.
Ramesh Arora said that as an alliance partner in Government, BJP has taken every step for people’s welfare and equal development of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. “We are totally supporting the Municipality elections and are ready to face the elections at anytime”, he added.
