KATHUA, May 18: Billawar Police has recovered a kidnapped girl and reunited her with her family members today.
According to police on May 6, one Sunita Devi, W/o Manohar Lal R/o Katli Morh Billawar reported at PS Billawar about kidnapping of her minor niece who has been residing with her. Police instantly lodged FIR No 52/18 U/S 363 RPC at PS Billawar and immediately started search to trace out the kidnapped girl.
During the course of Investigation, SHO PS Billawar Inspector, Amit Sangra constituted different teams of Police Station Billawar and started search for the missing girl at different locations with the help of locals and Village Defence Committee (VDC) members.
After continuous search, Billawar police succeeded in recovering the missing minor girl from Badnota area of Lohai Malhar
The minor girl was handed over to her family after completing all the legal formalities. Police has started further investigation in the case.
