JWAM holds anti-Govt protest

JAMMU, Apr 6: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest against Government move to change demography of Jammu.
Scores of JWAM activists led by their president, Sunil Dimple, today assembled at New Plot on Janipur road and raised slogans against the Government for its alleged attempts to change the demography of Jammu region.
Addressing the protesters, Sunil Dimple said that any move to undermine Jammu’s age old distinct identity will be defeated comprehensively. He said that the directions of the Government to the concerned officials that they shall not disturb tribal population is a part of deep rooted conspiracy hatched by certain  elements to facilitate  demographic changes in Jammu province and hurt the sentiments of the minority community in the State.
He also lambasted the Government for not deporting the Rohingyas, who have been illegally living in many parts of Jammu for last many years. Dimple also stressed upon the Government to grant district status to Jammu West constituency and constitute Delimitation Commission in the State.
He threatened “Jammu Band” against the mischievous move of PDP-BJP alliance to change the demography of the Jammu region. He appealed all the political, non-political parties to get united to foil this nefarious design of the PDP and BJP.
The JWAM president threatened of “Jammu Band” and said that they will not allow the State Government to create Kashmir like situation in the Jammu region.
