Srinagar, Feb 1: Police arrested seven gamblers and seized stake money of Rs 32,230 from the gambling spot in Bandipora district today.
A police spokesman said after acting on a tip off, a police party of Police Station Sumbal under the supervision of SDPO Sumbal, Sheikh Tahir Amin accompanied by SHO Sumbal, Parvaiz Ahmad raided a gambling site at Markundal area and arrested seven gamblers.
The seven gamblers were identified as Ghulam Nabi Najar, a resident of Naidkhai, Javid Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Prang Madwan, Mudasir Ahmed Dar, a resident of Naidkhai, Fayaz Ahmed Dar, a resident of Naidkhai, Habib-ul-lah Malla, a resident of Markundal, Abdul Gani Dar, a resident of Sumbal and Abdul Rashid Mir, a resident of Naidkhai.
