This refers to the article titled “Filing online RTI applications!” by Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat dated 09/01/2018. The article suggests some important measures regarding effective use of technology. The author’s views on filing RTI applications online via email or through some other medium by making provisions for accepting online payments are definitely need of the hour as it would be beneficial to the applicant as it will save both his time and other resources which he/she utilises during filing of RTI applications. Let Govt make necessary changes in the state RTI law and if they are really serious about tranasparency and accountability let it direct all the departments of the State to make provisions for the same.
