JAMMU, Dec 10: On the occasion of International Day of Human Rights, Kashmiir Pandit Conference (KPC)  appealed International Human Rights Body to intervene and save this peace loving community which is leading an exiled life outside their homeland for near three decades now.
The KPC in a statement issued here today said that the distinct ethno-religious community of the Kashmiri Pandits who have a history of more than five thousand years of a rich cultural tradition and a unique religious philosophy of the man and who believes in peace and amity has been deprived of the basic fundamental rights and they continue to lead a refugees life in their own country.
The community has been a tragic victim of religious persecution, forcible migration, violence and brutal massacre at the hands of invading Muslim zealots and religious fanatics leading to repeated exodus of the community for centuries together.
The Government of India has also failed them as they are still living as refugees in their own country from the last 28 years. Both the State and Central  Governments have not taken substantial measures till date for the return of Kashmiri Pandits on the land of Kashyap as per their will and aspirations. They have been made to suffer  and are victim of grave human right violations.
KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri appealed to International Human Right Body to intervene and save this peace loving community.
