2-day KP religious Samelan to begin today

JAMMU, Oct 13: The two -day Kashmiri Pandit religious Samelan will begin here, tomorrow to discuss various measures to be taken to keep the rich cultural heritage having its deep roots in Shaivic philosophy intact in exile and link the younger generation of the community to its roots.
The KP scholars and social activists putting up in different parts of the country are participating in the Samelan, Chairman of the Shodh Sansthan, Pt Omkar Nath Shastri said at an informal chat with media persons today.
He said papers on Kashmiri Shaivism, Trika Philosophy, age old rituals, traditions and culture will be read by different scholars during the Samelan. Shastri said suggestions being given by the scholars in introducing some reforms in the community will also be discussed during the samelan, besides the measures to be taken for protection of ancient Hindu shrines to maintain their glory and importance will also be debated and discussed threadbare.
