UDHAMPUR, Sept 24: One person died and his brother sustained critical injuries when a load carrier, in which they were travelling in, came under a JCB machine.
The mishap took place near Salmeh bridge, here today when the JCB machine, being pulled by a trailer, fell on the load carrier JK14B-2384, which was being driven by the injured, identified as Brajesh Kumar, son of Suresh Kumar of Basht Udhampur.
The deceased, namely Balbir Kumar, brother of the injured, was sitting beside the driver and reportedly died on the spot.
Meanwhile, an accident victim, who was critically wounded when his scooty skidded off the road near Manthal National Highway Udhampur, a few days back, today succumbed to his injuries at GMC Hospital Jammu. The deceased was identified as Harjeet Singh (50), son of Zail Singh of Morh Camp, Jammu.
In another road accident near Rehambal today, one Nilam Sharma (23), daughter of Ashok Kumar Sharma of Omara Morh Udhampur, was injured when her scooty skidded off the road. She has been admitted in DH Udhampur.
