Two porters injured as Pakistan opens unprovoked firing at LoC in Poonch

JAMMU: Two Army porters got injured as Pakistan yet again violated the truce agreement today and opened unprovoked firing on the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

”Pakistan Army, at around 1145 hours initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing using small arms and automatics in Poonch sector along the Line of Control,” a Defence spokesman here said.

He said two porters were injured in the firing and have been evacuated to the nearest hospital.

”The condition of injured porters is stable,” he added.

”Indian Army strongly and effectively retaliated to the firing, which stopped at 1155 hrs,” he said.  (AGENCIES)
