JAMMU, Aug 20: Hundreds of aspirants today protested against Jammu and Kashmir Khadi Village and Industries Board when they were not issued admit cards to appear in the examination for the post of Junior Supervisor.
“The exam was scheduled to be held this afternoon but majority of the aspirants were not issued the admit cards to appear in the written examination,” sources said.
Shouting slogans, the aspirants reached to the Khadi Village and Industries Board office at New Plot but they were neither issued cards nor their roll numbers appeared in the list of candidates applied to sit in the examination, sources added.
“Majority of the students were deprived of sitting in the examination”, they said. Sources further said that the candidates demanded that either they should be issued admit cards or the examination should be postponed.
“As server of the company hired by the concerned department got crashed three days ago due to which entire mess took place,”an official said.
He said that the matter is being sorted out, adding, ” we will look into it so that whatever be possible will be done.”
Meanwhile hundreds ‘unemployed’ aspirants criticized the agency holding examination and demanded that the examination should be postponed.
