JDA BOCA clears 70 building cases

JAMMU, Aug 4: In order to clear the backlog of house building permissions, the Jammu Development Authority convened a meeting under the chairmanship of  R K Shavan,  Vice Chairman JDA.
A total of 75 cases were placed before the committee and the BOCA  cleared 70 permission cases.
The meeting was attended by Director Land Management JDA, Chief Town Planner JDA, Xen PDD, Xen PHE DIV I and II and Xen PHE Rural Div., Xen Town Drainage Division, Chief Director PDD Inspection Division.
According to an official handout, the JDA  has taken a lot of initiatives to enforce the Jammu Master Plan 2032 and removed a number of unauthorised constructions, Khokhas lying in the area of jurisdiction. The Vice Chairman JDA said that the Khilafwarzi section of JDA has been instructed to act tough against the violators and book them under relevant laws.
The JDA  has conducted two meetings of BOCA in short span to clear all cases so that public does not suffer. The Vice Chairman has even issued a circular for the enforcement of Master Plan and directed the authorities of Jammu Municipal Corporation, Municipal Committees to strictly adhere and enforce the Master Plan 2032 as the mandate of monitoring and supervision lies with JDA.
Complaints of blatant violations in the jurisdiction of Jammu Municipal Corporation have been forwarded to concerned officers of JMC  for demolition failing which cases shall be placed before Competent Authorities for action against law.
It is pertinent to mention that the flying squads of Khilafwarzi,  constituted by the JDA,  recently inspected the field and detected some gross violations of Master Plan wherein commercial structures were  built in residential area.
