JAMMU, Aug 1: The office bearers of Chamber of Commerce & Industry met today at Chamber House under the leadership of Rakesh Gupta to discuss the problems being faced by Trade and Industries post implementation of GST in the State after serious deliberations an urgent communication was sent to the Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu.
The Chamber in the letter extended gratitude to the Finance Minister for announcing Amnesty Scheme on VAT and GST periods and further requested to extend the date for the same of which the last date was August 1, 2017.
It would not be out of place to mention here that the business world had already moved to GST regime as such we feel it is important that there are no business issues left to be handled for smooth transition.
The other Office bearers present in the meeting included Rajesh Gupta- senior vice president, Rajeev Gupta- junior vice president, Gaurav Gupta – secretary and Ashu Gupta- treasurer.
