DDC inaugurated NABARD Office in Doda

DODA, Oct 30: With the focus to speed up the development of Agriculture and Rural Sector in the District, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) today established its Office -cum- Residence of District Development Manager NABARD that was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Farooq Ahmed Khan.
Chief Planning Officer Doda Dr. Yassir Balwan, General Manager NABARD J&K R.V Sharma, District Development Manager (DDM) NABARD Rajesh Kumar Badyal, Lead District Manager SBI Doda I.B Sharma, GM DIC Doda D.S Katoch and Director R-SETI Doda besides other officers, heads of banking and insurance sector, Sarpanchs, NGO members and Self Help Group members also attended the function.
While speaking on the occasion DDM NABARD Mr. Badyal apprised the gathering about the role of DDM in credit planning, monitoring and coordination with other departments for development of Agriculture and Rural sectors in the District. He revealed that for the promotion and development of women folk in the District NABARD has launched a scheme for promotion of Women Self Help Groups and so far 150 Women Self Help Groups have been formed in the District and saving linked with the banks.
