REASI, July 31: In separate successes against illicit liquor, GRP Katra today arrested two bootleggers and seized 70 pouches of J&K Excise liquor from one accused while a Police team from Pouni recovered 750 illicit liquor and 20 litres lahan from the house of other accused at Kheralair, Pouni.
Reports said that SHO GRP Kata, arrested one Roshan Singh of Arli Katra, who was selling liquor near the Circular Road of Railway Station Katra. 70 pouches of J&K Excise liquor were recovered from his possession.
A case FIR number 07/2017, under section 48(A) Excise Act, 188 RPC, has been registered in this connection.
Meanwhile, acting on specific information, police team from P/S Pouni, conducted a raid in the house of one Joginder Singh of Kheralair, tehsil Pouni and succeeded in recovery of 750 ml illicit liquor alongwith 20 litres Lahan from the house. The accused person was arrested and recovered illicit liquor was seized.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 41/2017 U/S 48-(a), (b), (d) & (e) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Pouni.
