‘Raag Desh’ trailer launched in Parliament

NEW DELHI: In a unique launch, the trailer of the film ‘Raag Desh’, based on the 1945 Red Fort trials of three INA officers, was launched today at the Parliament House.

Trailer of Raag Desh was launched in Parliament House in the presence of film director Tigmanshu Dhulia and Producer Gurdeep Singh Sappal. It is the first time, Parliament has allowed a trailer launch.

Raag Desh is a movie based on true story of the famous Red Fort Trial of the three INA Officers that changed the course of India’s Freedom Movement. The film, written by Tigmanshu Dhulia, is presented by Rajya Sabha TV. The film features Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh and Mohit Marwah in role of the three INA officers.

Talking about the film, Dhulia said, ”The Red Fort trial is one of the most interesting and relevant parts of our Independence history and Raag Desh is about that fascinating case.” The movie is slated to release on July 28. (AGENCIES)
