JTC demands release of 4 months ration

JAMMU, June 23: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K was held here today under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, President, of both the organizations.
The meeting expressed grave concern over the slackness of the Government in ensuring release of ration items to the relief holders for past three months.
Pandita while addressing the participants said that with holding ration supplies for past three months has put the migrants to lot of sufferings who have been facing difficulties in meeting their domestic needs.
Pandita has demanded that the Relief Organisation as well as Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department should ensure release of ration to the migrants for the months of March, April, May and June 2017 at an earliest enabling the migrants to overcome present sufferings to which they are confronted due to lack of proper ration supplies.
A demand has also been made for implementing the employment package announced long back in 2008 in letter and spirit by ensuing absorbing the educated youth from Kashmiri Pandit migrant community against remaining posts at an earliest.
Pandita has said that since the prices of essential commodities have sky rocketed so it has become difficult for the relief holders to meet their domestic needs and requirements with the present financial relief. He has demanded enhancement of the cash assistance relief to the tune of Rs. 25000/- per family per month.
