NSF holds protest against PSC, demands independent audit of selections

JAMMU, June 21: While demanding Crime Branch inquiry into the tampering of official documents of Public Service Commission (PSC), the activists of National Secular Forum (NSF) today held a strong protest demonstration.
They raised anti-Government slogans and demanded establishment of separate PSC for Jammu region so that justice could be delivered to the youth of Jammu who suffer because of discriminatory attitude being adopted by people sitting at the helm of affairs in PSC on the directions of their political masters.
NSF State Chief, Dr Vikas Sharma, demanded independent audit of selections made by the Commission through in the light of glaring instances of biased approach towards candidates from Jammu, and also demanded registration of FIR against all those involved in forging of the policy documents of this recruiting agency.
He also questioned the stoic silence maintained by the BJP Ministers and MLAs over the grave issue and said that their stance was totally against the interests of Jammu and would cost the region dearly in future if the corrective steps are not initiated at the earliest.
“Discrimination with Jammu in the selections is going on during the past many decades and time has come to put a full stop on the same”, he said, adding separate PSC should be created for Jammu region so that youth doesn’t lag behind only because of Kashmir-centric approach of those at the helm of affairs in PSC presently.
He also threatened to intensify the agitation in this regard and knock the doors of Judiciary for securing justice for the youth of Jammu region.
Those who participated in the protest include Papinder Singh, Rishikesh Rana, Pardeep Sharma, Manmohan Singh, Anshu Sharma, Mohit Singh, Rahul Sharma, Robin Singh, Deepak Khajuria, Gaurav Sharma, Navdeep Slathia, Varun and others.
