JKGB organizes financial literacy awareness camp

JAMMU, June 17: J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) in collaboration with NABARD organized a digital-financial literacy awareness camp at village Garhi under the branch office Mishriwala.
Opinder Krishan Lidhu, Branch Manager, was the chief guest on the occasion. Amarjeet, Advances Manager, branch office, Mishriwala, informed the participants regarding various modes of getting cashless transactions from banks, various safeguards to be kept in mind in order to be aware and prevent cases of cheating/corruption while availing different banking facilities.
He impressed upon the participant not to use any middle man for availing any benefit from bank and approach the bank branch directly. He laid emphasis on adoption of social security schemes launched by Government of India on war footing.
He enlightened people about new technologies available in the bank such as multiple uses of bank cheques, use of POS machine, RuPay Debit card, KCC RuPay Debit Card, Net Banking, Mobile Banking Services, IMPS, Aadhar based transactions etc.
