Absconder nabbed after 24 yrs

JAMMU, May 12: Gandhi Nagar police nabbed an absconder, who was at large for the past 24 years.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Gandhi Nagar police station  conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past 24 years.
The accused has been identified as Surinder Singh, son of Makhan Singh of Kud, at present Bandu Rakh Kunjwani.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 246/1991 under Section 279, 337 and 338 RPC with police station Gandhi Nagar. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against the accused by the court of Sub-Judge JMIC, Jammu on August 8, 1993.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Retish Sambyal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
