NEW DELHI : Lok Sabha Members today strongly condemned the Pakistan military court’s decision to award death sentence to Indian citizen Kulbhushan Jadhav on the charge of spying and said it only reflected Pakistan’s ulterior motives.
Agreeing with the Members’ sentiment, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, ”the House and the Government strongly condemn the Pakistani actions on this.”
The issue was taken up as soon as the House met for the day to begin the proceedings.
“Whatever needs to be done will be done by the Government and every attempt will be made to ensure that justice is done to Kulbhushan Jadhav,” Mr Singh said even as several Members, including from BJP, Congress, Trinamool Congress and Left parties, demanded that there is a House resolution condemning the Pakistani act.
