JAMMU, Apr 8: The relief holders have expressed grave concern over non payment of relief and ration to Kashmiri migrants for the month of March.
In a statement issued here, today Sunil Pandita a representative of relief holders said that the cash assistance and ration for the month of March which the Relief organization was supposed to release in the first week of March has not been paid even after lapse of one month with the result the migrant families dependent on cash doles from the Government for their livelihood have been put to many hardships.
Pandita said that some families are unable to make admission of their wards in schools as they have not been paid cash assistance till date. He demanded immediate payment of cash assistance to the migrants failing which they will be forced to come to streets.
He said though the Government had earlier given assurances that the relief and cash assistance will be paid in the first week of every month but the same was not kept.
