PEEU discusses 8 point charter of demands with PDD authorities

JAMMU, Apr 3: Provincial Electrical Employees Union (PEEU)held a meeting with PDD authorities here today to discuss the long pending demands of the employees. The meeting was convened by Commissioner Secretary Power Dheraj Gupta while PEEU was represented by P C Sharma its president. The meeting was also chaired by Dheeraj Gupta and among others it was attended by Development Commissioner Power, Director TTIC, Additional Secretary PDD, Deputy Secretary PDD, Under Secretary PDD , Chief Engineer M&RE Wing Jammu and Administrative Officer DPC.
The issues discussed included retrospective effect to the already regularized daily wagers onwards 1996 in terms of SRO 69 of 1994, amendment is service recruitment rules 381 of 1981, releasing of technical grade to all ITI and equivalent in terms of SRO 149 of 1973 by way of running grades, clarification regarding implementation of SRO 59 in all divisions of Jammu as it has been done in Srinagar, government should bear the expenses of diploma courses of the employees, opening of new EM&RE Division with headquarter at Basohli, regularization of daily wagers engaged after 1994by amending/extending SRO 64 of 1994 and amendment in PDD employees welfare scheme by simplifying the rule of granting the benefit.
The Commissioner Secretary Power issued directives to all concerned officers to submit the consolidated report on all these demands. He also assured the Union that meetings will continue in future till issues are resolved.
