Srinagar, Mar 11: Police today said it has arrested three persons while gambling in Kokernag area of Anantnag district and recovered stake money worth Rs. 10,000 from the spot.
A police spokesman said acting on a specific information, police raided a gambling site in Hangalgund village of Kokernag and arrested three gamblers identified as Tariq Ahmad Malik, Sajad Ahmad Bhat and Ghulam Nabi Shah. “The stake money of rupees 10,000 was recovered from the gambling spot,” he said.
The police spokesman said a case under FIR number 30/17 under section 13 Gambling act was registered against them and investigation was taken up.
