Agitating JU employees suspend work, hold protest demonstration

JAMMU, Mar 9: A day after observing Mass Casual Leave, all the employees of non teaching and non gazetted cadre in Jammu University continued their token strike by suspending work for four hours and holding strong protest demonstration in front of Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat on the campus, here today.
The joint protest was held under the banner of Executive body of the Non-Teaching Employees Union and Non Gazetted Employees Union, University of Jammu.
During the demonstration, the employees raised slogans for fulfillment of their genuine demands. They alleged that the University authorities were adopting a callous attitude towards their genuine demands thus forcing them to continue their struggle.
President of Gujjar Bhakerwal Federation of Students, Rashid ud din Mir, president Kashmir University Ministerial Secretarial Associ-ation joined the protest and appealed the JU authorities to resolve the genuine issues of employees.
The demonstration was addressed by Pawan Singh Bhau, Vijay Kumar,   Ashwani Bakshi, Sham Sharma, Vikas Langer, Banarasi Lal, Vidhya Lal,   Padam Shri Padamani,   Abhinav Sharma, Sanjeev Chadha, Niranjan Singh Charak, Joginder Singh Chib, Kewal Kumar, Sunita Amla, Jarnail Singh, Jasjeet Singh and Raghubir Singh Bandral.
