SAMBA, Dec 29: Ghagwal police rescued 12 bovine animals from a truck, while the accused driver managed to escape.
As per reports, on reliable information, a team from Ghagwal police station led by SI Rajeshwar Singh laid a naka and signaled a truck bearing registration number JK02T-4795 to stop for checking.
On seeing police cops, the driver accelerated the vehicle and escaped from the spot. Police team chased the vehicle and intercepted it near Suandha Morh.
During checking, police rescued 12 bovine animals from the vehicle, while the driver managed to escape from the spot taking benefit of the darkness.
A case under FIR Number 105/16 under relevant section has been registered at police station Ghagwal and manhunt has been launched to nab the driver.
