JAMMU, Dec 29: A deputation of All NHM Employees Association (NHMEA) today met Health Minister, Bali Bhagat and submitted a memorandum of demands.
Led by Rohi Seth, provincial president, NHMEA and Subhash Verma, president, Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, the deputation apprised the Minister about their problems and demands, which include regularization of all the employees who have completed 5 years of service and payment of equal salary at par with permanent employees to rest of the staff till their regularization.
Their demands also included minimum 10% yearly increment for all NHM employees, framing of transfer policy for them, and provision of all facilities like provident fund, maternity leave, baby care leave, earned leave, medical insurance and life insurance for all NHM employees.
The deputation also highlighted other demands like ensuring job security for NHM employees, stopping the practice of taking affidavits annually from them, fixed salary for ASHA workers, paying all the ISM doctors salary at par with their counterparts (MBBS) doctors.
It was also demanded that the management staff be given higher grades/salaries and whenever regularization policy is framed or the policy of ‘equal pay for equal work’ is implemented, they be considered for higher posts equivalent to their qualification and job profile and should not be treated as clerical cadre.
