BHADERWAH, Dec 29: Border Roads Organization (BRO), popularly known as GREF has cleared snow from Chattergalla Pass on Bhaderwah-Bani-Basohli road  and restored the link.
A BRO spokesman said that during recent heavy snow fall in the area comprising of Chattergala Pass, the connectivity between Bani-Bhaderwah was snapped on December 25. Some vehicles also got trapped due to road blockade.
The dedicated team of BRO, consisting of  Satpudke TD EE (Civ), Officer Commanding 114 RCC, Major Jatin Talwar  second-in-command,  V Krishnan JE (Civ),  A Periya Samy JE (Civ)  and  Sudhanshu Mishra, JE (Civ) along with operators and using heavy machinery/ CPLs opened the road  within the stipulated time.
The entire operation  was carried out on the directions of  Chief Engineer Project BEACON Brig AK Das and over all supervision of Col Vishal Sharma, Commander HQ 35 BRTF.
Despite all hurdles, the team under adverse weather conditions is taking adequate measures for maintaining the connectivity between Bani and Bhaderwah for the convenience of general public.
In addition to the snow clearance, the regular work at bridges and permanent works are also under progress. The road between Bani-Bhaderwah has now been restored for the public use.
