PHEWWA warns agitation

JAMMU, Dec 27: PHE Workers Welfare Association (PHEWWA) has warned the higher authorities to launch agitation if the pending demands of the PHE workers are not addressed before January 10.
Talking to media-persons here today, president of the Association Bakshi Singh and general secretary Subhash Verma alleged that despite several representations and protest dharnas by the daily wagers, ITI trained and CP workers and other employees, the higher authorities totally failed to solve their issues. The top officers and the minister concerned are least bothered about the plight of the poor workers.
The main demands of the workers include regularization, release of pending wages, framing of regularization policy, provision of timely pay, conduct of DPC of all cadre. They alleged that issue of promotions is being deliberately ignored by the senior officers. They warned to intensify agitation from January 10, if the Govt failed to solve their issues before this date.
