JAMMU, Dec 27: BJP leader and National executive member, ST Morcha, Eshfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal, today urged Haseeb Drabu, J&K Finance Minister (FM), to formulate a separate budget 2017-2018 for tribal people in accordance with the provisions of Constitution of India.
Accusing Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti of sidelining him in the recent meeting on tribal affairs headed by her in Jammu, Poswal said he has sought a meeting with BJP chief Amit Shah and general secretary Ram Madhav to take up Mehbooba Mufti’s uncalled for action against him aimed at sidelining him from Gujjars.
“It is good to know that you have been holding extensive discussions on budget with people from different shades of life. I urge you to formulate a separate budget 2017-2018 for tribal people, as per the provisions of constitution of India, which is proportionate to their population. It is a must for upliftment of these long ignored people,” Poswal said in a letter to Haseeb Drabu.
