SIT constituted in bank loot case

KISHTWAR, Nov 24: A Special Investigating Team (SIT) has been constituted in the J&K Bank loot case.
As per police sources, a SIT has been constituted in J&K Bank loot case, which took place in Sarthal during the intervening night of November 22 and 23.
The team will be headed by DySP Headquarters Kishtwar and assisted by Sr PO, SHO Kishtwar and Incharge Sarthal police post.
A .12 bore gun and live cartridges of the security guard was also recovered from the bank premises, which indicates that the thieves entered the bank with the motive to loot cash only.
Meanwhile, FSL team from Jammu also visited the spot and collected the samples.
It is to mention here that, the thieves looted over Rs 34 lakh including around Rs 20 lakh fresh currency from J&K Bank branch at Sarthal.
