Apropos ” A quest for knowledge” by Dr. Raj Shree Dhar dated 20-11-2016 is a wonderful narration of the vast possibilities that science & mathematics offers to the humankind. However, the big nagging question that remains is whether the humanity is emancipated enough to continue with the quest to seek knowledge which can improve lives or whether we remain mute & silent spectators to the ever increasing, deforestation, urbanization, pollution, global arms race & violence. The author has thrown a pertinent question about the survival of humanity in some distant future given the precious little that is being done currently to preserve our beautiful earth. Unless the humanity as a whole rises to the occasion we may eventually be heading towards that feared self-destruction.
