Ravinder visits Nowshera, meets border migrants

JAMMU, Nov 8: In the wake of heavy shelling across the borders of Rajouri-Poonch districts, Ravinder Sharma (Ex-MLC) and chief spokesperson JKPCC visited several border villages in Jhanger-Nowshera and took stock of the problems of people.
Ravinder Sharma conducted tour of the area on extreme LOC like Lam, Pukharni, Sarya Seri, Makri, which fall ahead of the border fence near Jhangar of Nowshera sector, facing intensive shelling during past few days. While interacting with the local people, he was apprised about the difficulties and also appreciation Army, local and district administration for extending necessary help but they sought certain urgent facilities at village level.
Sharma justified the demands of the residents about the need for ambulance at Seri-Makeri, trenches/bunkers near their Mohallahs and schools etc besides concrete community bunkers and provision of adequate scale of ration distribution in their village. Apart from this their demands for colony at safer places along with provision for construction of a single room accommodation and waiver of KCC loans were also projected.
Sharma demanded that other genuine demands be redressed without delay and the Government of India should fulfill the demands of safe shelters in the shape of bunkers and border residents colony, at the earliest, as sufficient State/EP Land is available in safe areas in the tehsil- Nowshera.
