Sir,
The Kashmir Valley is passing through very difficult times after the killing of Burhan Wani.
As a result Kashmiri Pandit employees and other non Kashmiri employees had to leave the Valley due to agitations, stone pelting, hartals and other security reasons.
The package employees are agitating and asking the Govt to adjust them outside the Valley but it seems that the State and Central Govts have not entertained their demand. On the other hand the immediate bosses, officers (principals, headmasters etc) of package employees (teachers) are indirectly and individually making contacts with these employees asking them to join their duties in the Valley immediately or otherwise be ready to face consequences. This attitude of these officers is unjustified and uncalled for keeping in view the security scenario in the Valley. How can a package employees especially teachers attend their duties in the Valley when the schools are shut, when students do not attend their schools, when schools are torched, when the shops and markets are closed and public transport is off the roads.
Keeping in view, the above mentioned facts the Education Minister Naeem Akhter and the Director School Education Kashmir are requested to please look into the matter personally and ask the concerned officials to desist from forcing the package employees to join their duties immediately and making them scape goats.
Yours etc….
