State Level Career Abacus Competition organized

JAMMU, Oct 26: Career Abacus, an Abacus Teaching Institute organized a State Level Competition for the students of Abacus in the auditorium of MNKG Montessori School, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu in which children from the age group of 5 to 13 years participated.
More than 600 students participated in the event. The function started with the lighting of lamp by the Champion of Champions 2015, Ojasvi and Yashasvi Dubey of Army School, Kaluchak. Rabinder Singh, Chairman, MNKG Montessori School and Prof Gurdip Kour, Principal (Retd) Government Women College, Gandhi Nagar, were the chief guests.
The competition was organized as per the guidelines provided by the GAZMA which is a global organization conducting International Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competitions.
Children were given 100 to 200 questions according to the stage they were studying which were to be completed within a time frame of 8 minutes. Due to vigorous training provided at Career Abacus’ 28 Centers in J&K, children were able to answer the trickiest of mathematical questions in seconds.
Everyone present at the examination hall was amazed to see the speed and accuracy of little children who were from different schools and standards (from KG to 8th). The competition was conducted in different levels and age groups.
A large number of parents witnessed this competition during which they were informed about the International Competition held at Singapore and about the results of International Grading Examination held in the month of July by Arvind Sharma, Director of the Institute. Parents were also informed about the next International Competition to be held in Bangkok.
