UDHAMPUR, Oct 2: Ranbir Singh Pathania, MLA Ramnagar today chaired Janta Darbar cum officers meeting at Battal village of Tehsil Majalta for redressal of day to day problems being faced by the locals of the respective areas via a vis reviewing developmental projects and their pace. Senior officers and district heads of PWD, RDD, Education Department, Power Development Department (PDD), Public Heath Engineering (PHE), PMGSY, Social Welfare, ICDS, Health and other departments were also present.
On spot instructions were issued regarding availability of uninterrupted water and electricity supply during the Navratras and ensuing festival season. Further the concerned departments were instructed to open up the clogged roads and tracks leading to the shrines of Mata Pingla Devi Ji, Mata Chountra Devi Ji, Marada Mata and other revered shrines of the area so that vehicular movements is ensured for the benefits of Pilgrims.
Responding to urgent public needs, Pathania announced installation of high mast lights at various shrines including that of Puji Mata (Katwalat), Chandi Mata Mandir (Birnoo), Ambica Mata Temple (Manwal), Shiv temple (Jakhenoo) and Durga Temple (Dhamma)
Mr Pathania further announced that building for Degree College Majalta will come up shortly at the proposed cost of Rs 15.00 crores and he is committed to develop this college as “Model College” which shall be nurtured as an exquisite seat of higher learning. He further informed that bridges, roads and building works amounting to nearly Rs. 400.00 crores have been tendered and will be initiated shortly.
He further instructed for opening up of Thial-Chountra, Manwal-Pinger, Dhar-road -ChoreMottu, and Dhar-road to Ghar Samna Banj roads in shortest possible time.
He said that his focus will be on people residing in far-flung and remote areas and the concept of ‘Antodya’ coined by Pt DeenDayal Upadhaya shall be the guiding beacon light.
He asked the public and administration to work as team and further asked the administration to remain sensitive to public needs and exigencies of time and place.
