JAMMU, Oct 1: A gang-rape victim has sought justice and strict punishment to the accused persons.
Addressing a press conference, a girl hailing from Ludhiana and presently residing in Qasim Nagar said that she was gang-raped by three persons with the help of a lady in a house falling under the jurisdiction of Channi Himmat police station few days back
She stated that the police arrested three persons including the woman, but police is not initiating any strict action against them. One of the accused, who is still at large should be arrested immediately, she added.
“I want justice and strict punishment to the accused so that no one can dare to play with the life of a girl”, she demanded.
The victim was accompanied by Sunita Sharma, President, Rural Women Foundation, Sukhdav Singh, Balwinder Kour, Jyoti Sharma, etc.
